- > 808, Black Keys: select perc sound to adjust

Turn AGORITHM to switch to each Fader setting
- the 909/808 have a setting for each percussion instrument

- adjust the above in one big list
- > the selected fader settings

Press SEL for more Reverb and Delay options
- be aware there is a "Tone" for Delay and a "Tone" for Reverb.

With the 808/909 you can have a Reverb and Delay levels:
- for every individual percussion instr (select the 909/808 in the Mixer and press Black Key)
- for the whole Machine (select the 909/808 in the Mixer and press SEL)
so you can have Reverb on Reverb.

Assign Effect to a Machine:
- go to Mixer (LFO)
- select the machine with the Black Keys
- turn KNOB3 and 4 for adding Reverb/Delay
Automation : (also called Motion Recording)
Motion belongs to a part's pattern:
- the 303's knobs record into the 303's pattern;
- the effects and master into the 909's (because the Master has no Pattern of its own).
- I would say, Master Automation could have been saved in a Song Column, out of the Pattern concept.

Workflow
