Korg D3200 Manual - MIDI Sync Master - Sound to Trigger

Things that did not work (poor man's solutions)

I tried to feed the saw wave Beep Track directly from the AUX output into the FOOT PEDAL input.
Result: because the Audio generates only 1 Volt, and the FOOT PEDAL needs 5 Volts, the FOOT PEDAL was not triggered half of the time. What a shame. This would have been a great poor man's solution.

In stead of a saw wave, I tried to use a square-wave signal on the beat, and feed that directly from the AUX into the FOOT PEDAL jack.
Result: the FOOT PEDAL was not triggered at all. I decided not to mess with it any further, because I do not know what will happen when I amplify the signal to 5 Volts. I don't know enough about what I am doing here, but it sounded like a great idea at first. I actually don't have a real clue as to why this should not give me the desired results.

I tried to solder a circuit that converts hand-claps to an on/off switch, the one you can buy to switch the lights in your house on and off with a hand clap. Although maybe the switch circuit is a bit slow, it can be adjusted if you know how much delay it has.
Result: it could have worked, but my bad solder skills broke the circuit.

I tried to create a MIDI Clock track directly into Cakewalk/Sonar along with the Wave track, with a special Sonar-function.
Result: none such thing, it was an editing nightmare.

I also tried the BPM analyzer in the Korg KAOSS.
Result: the timing created by the KAOSS turned out to be wildly inaccurate.
